What are your favorite brands and why?
Let me start by saying I love Jeeps. Not like a casual “I enjoy trail riding” kind of love—I mean a full-on, lifelong, slightly dysfunctional relationship with a machine that rides like a shopping cart and drinks gas like it’s spring break in Daytona.

I’ve owned Jeeps since my early twenties. That’s right—back when I had a full head of hair and a dream of conquering the wilderness… or at least the pothole-riddled roads of Ohio. While my friends were out buying sleek sedans and reliable Toyotas, I was like, “No thanks, I prefer driving a tent with a steering wheel.”
You see, Jeep owners don’t mind the rough ride. We expect it. In fact, if a Jeep starts handling too smoothly, we get suspicious. “Something’s not right… this feels too… comfortable.” We like our vehicles the way we like our camping trips: unpredictable, bumpy, and possibly requiring roadside assistance.
And let’s talk about the gas gauge. Oh, it’s not just a gauge—it’s an interactive thrill ride. There is no greater adrenaline rush than driving uphill in a headwind, watching the fuel needle drop like it’s BASE jumping off a cliff. It’s like playing a high-stakes game of “Will I Make It to the Next Gas Station?” Spoiler alert: probably not, but let’s try anyway.
Of course, one of my absolute favorite parts of owning a Jeep is the Jeep wave. That sacred, subtle gesture between fellow Jeep drivers. Not a full wave—not too enthusiastic—but just the perfect mix of cool recognition and mutual understanding that says, “Yep! I, too, have chosen a life of bouncing, leaking, and low MPG. Solidarity, brother!”
And don’t even get me started on the wind noise. You haven’t lived until you’ve tried to have a phone call in a soft-top Jeep going 60 mph. It’s less of a conversation and more of a wind tunnel simulation with screaming.
But for all the quirks and creaks, I still love my Jeeps. Because a Jeep isn’t just a vehicle—it’s a lifestyle. One that says, “Sure, I could’ve picked something sensible… but where’s the fun in that?”
So yeah, my favorite brand is Jeep. It’s loud, it leaks, it hates fuel economy… but hey, it’s fun!
