Asking me what my favorite genre of music is… well, it’s like asking about my favorite food group. The answer is pizza—but musically speaking? It’s everything.

I keep it simple with two playlists—slow and upbeat. That’s it! But inside each? Pure chaos! One minute I’m chillin’ with Jimmy Buffett in Margaritaville, the next it’s death metal so aggressive even my smoke detector gets nervous. Then suddenly—boom! I transition to Willie Nelson, followed by Eminem, a dash of Bon Jovi, and then, yes… K-pop. Thanks to my oldest daughter, I didn’t expect to become a fan of a Korean boy band, but here we are.

However, my daughters are mortified by my crazy playlist. They’ve stopped asking what I’m listening to. The whiplash from Taylor Swift to Slayer is just too much for them. But hey, music is a mood, not a genre.

So what’s my favorite genre? Yes!
